Terms of Service
Rules for using SORRIX as a listener or creator. Last updated 24 October 2026.
1. Who we are and scope
SORRIX (“we”, “us”) is operated by:
SORRIXSiemensstraße 60
Linz, Austria
E-mail: support@sorrix.com
Phone: 0062609164
These terms govern your use of sorrix.com and the related API and apps (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Accounts
- You must be at least 16 years old, or have your guardian’s consent where the law requires it.
- Provide accurate information and keep your password and recovery codes safe. We strongly recommend enabling two-factor authentication.
- You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us immediately at support@sorrix.com if you suspect misuse.
- You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms, with reasons given as described in section 9.
3. The Service
The Service lets you discover, stream, like and save AI-generated music, and lets creators publish tracks after a review of the evidence they submit. We may change, extend or discontinue features, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Free listening is currently available without payment; paid features, if introduced, will be subject to separate terms and prices shown before purchase.
4. Listening
Streaming is licensed for your personal, non-commercial use. You must not download or rip audio, scrape the Service, circumvent technical protections, use content to train or evaluate machine-learning models, or artificially inflate plays, likes or followers.
5. Creators
- Rights and authorisation. You may upload a track only if you own it or are authorised to publish and commercially distribute it, including all samples, vocals, lyrics and other material it contains. Generating audio with an AI tool does not by itself give you those rights; they depend on the tool’s terms and plan that applied when you generated the track.
- Truthful AI declaration. You must accurately declare the AI tools, generation method and date, and provide genuine evidence. Forged, altered or misleading evidence leads to removal and may lead to account termination and legal consequences.
- Verification. Publication requires a human review of your AI-origin and commercial-rights evidence under our verification policy. A badge means we reviewed specified evidence at a point in time; it is not a guarantee against copyright claims or legal disputes and not legal advice. Approvals can expire (rights approvals are valid for a limited period) or be suspended if new information contradicts them.
- Changes need a new review. If you edit a published or submitted track it is taken offline and must be reviewed again.
- Licence to us. You keep all rights in your content. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, stream, display, reproduce technically necessary copies, and promote your content within the Service for as long as it is published. The licence ends when you remove the content, except for technical backups kept for a limited period and for records we must retain as described in the Privacy Policy.
- Your responsibility. You are responsible for your content and indemnify us against third-party claims arising from your breach of these terms, to the extent permitted by law.
6. AI-generated content and labelling
The Service is dedicated to AI-generated or AI-assisted music. Do not present human-only recordings as AI-generated, or the reverse, in a way that misleads listeners. Our labels (for example “Fully Verified”) reflect only the scope described on the track’s verification panel. Creator verification (the check mark next to an artist name) confirms only who operates the account.
7. Prohibited content and conduct
- Content that infringes copyright, neighbouring rights, trade marks or personality rights; impersonation of people or organisations.
- Illegal content, incitement to hatred or violence, sexual content involving minors, terrorist content, or content that glorifies serious crimes.
- Malware, attempts to break or overload the Service, probing for vulnerabilities outside our security contact process, or unauthorised access to other accounts or to evidence documents.
- Spam, fake accounts, vote or play manipulation.
8. Reports and copyright complaints
Anyone can report content from its page. Copyright complaints follow the notice and complaint process. We handle reports in a timely, diligent and non-arbitrary manner.
9. Moderation, statements of reasons and complaints
We may restrict, unpublish or remove content, suspend verification, or suspend accounts where these terms are breached or the law requires it. We tell affected creators what we decided, the facts and grounds relied on, whether automated means were used (verification decisions are made by people; automated signals are only supplementary), and how to contest the decision. You can complain through our internal complaint system by e-mail to support@sorrix.com, within six months of the decision; a human not involved in the original decision reviews it. You may also use an out-of-court dispute settlement body certified under Art. 21 DSA and may go to court. See the content removal policy.
10. Intellectual property of the Service
The Service’s software, design, texts and trade marks belong to us or our licensors. You receive only the right to use the Service as intended.
11. Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent, gross negligence and injury to life, body or health, and as mandatory law (for example the Product Liability Act) provides. For slight negligence we are liable only for breach of essential contractual obligations and only for foreseeable, typical damage, unless you are a consumer and mandatory law says otherwise. We are not liable for creators’ content before we have knowledge of its illegality (§16 ECG, Art. 6 DSA). We do not guarantee that verification prevents all claims by third parties.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms for good reason (for example new features or legal changes). We will notify registered users by e-mail or in the Service at least 30 days before material changes take effect. If you do not agree you can delete your account before then; continued use afterwards counts as acceptance, as we will point out in the notice.
13. Governing law and disputes
Austrian law applies, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, mandatory consumer protection provisions of the country where you habitually reside remain unaffected. For consumers, jurisdiction is determined by §14 Consumer Protection Act (KSchG); for businesses the competent court at our registered seat is exclusively competent. Consumers can also seek help from the Austrian Internet Ombudsmann.
14. Final provisions
If a provision is invalid the rest remains in force. Amendments must be made in text form unless these terms say otherwise. Questions: support@sorrix.com.
