Notice & Complaint Process
How to report illegal content or copyright infringement, and what happens next.
How to report
Use Report on any track or artist page, or e-mail support@sorrix.com. A useful notice (Art. 16 DSA) contains:
- a sufficiently substantiated explanation of why the content is illegal or infringes your rights;
- the exact location, normally the track or artist page URL;
- your name and e-mail address (not required for certain serious offences listed in Arts. 3–7 of Directive 2011/93/EU);
- for copyright: the work concerned and a statement that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them;
- a statement that you believe in good faith that the information is accurate and complete.
What we do
- We confirm receipt and review the notice diligently. A moderator may restrict or unpublish the track while we investigate.
- The creator is told about the notice and the reasons for any measure and may respond with evidence (for example a licence or plan document).
- We decide to dismiss the notice, keep a restriction or remove the content, and record the decision. You receive the outcome and information on how to contest it.
- Repeat infringers may be suspended after a prior warning.
Contesting a decision
Both the reporter and the creator can complain about a decision by e-mail to support@sorrix.com within six months (internal complaint handling, Art. 20 DSA), and can use an out-of-court dispute settlement body under Art. 21 DSA or go to court.
Abuse
Knowingly false or abusive notices can lead to us ignoring further notices from the sender and may have legal consequences for them.
